This runs off of standard 110v and allows you to control the press action with a foot pedal. You will now be able to have both hands on parts to get perfect alignment and control of what you are pressing.
It includes:
-Hydraulic pump which runs off of standard 110v
-Foot pedal actuated pre-wired into the Hydraulic Pump
-20-Ton Hydraulic Ram
-10,000 psi hydraulic hose with quick connected leak proof fittings
Does not include the harbor freight 20 ton press
Install instructions:
Simply remove your original hand pump off of your press and install our 20-ton hydraulic ram in its place.
Next remove the fill screw at the bottom of the pump and lay the pump on its side to be able to fill the AW-68 Hydraulic fluid.
Once you are done filling it with fluid and you have put the pump back in its upright position check to see the fluid has been filled up to the sight glass level. The level of fluid should be at the halfway mark on the sight glass. DO NOT OPERATE PUMP IF YOU CAN'T SEE FLUID UP TO THE SIGHT GLASS LEVEL AND DO NOT OPERATE THE PUMP IF YOU OVERFILLED IT.
Now that the pump is filled hook the hydraulic hose up to both ends of the Hydraulic pump and Hydraulic Ram.
Then once every connection is tight and installed go ahead and plug the pump into 110v and begin the bleeding procedure
To bleed the air and get the hydraulics working go ahead and press on the pedal in the forwards direction so you can hear the hydraulic pump running. Press it on for about 20 seconds and let it rest for 5 seconds. Continue this process until you see the Hydraulic ram start to actuate. This can take up to around 2-3 minutes of back and forth on the pedal until the system is fully bled and is operating properly.
After bleeding go ahead and check the sight glass for proper fluid level with the hydraulic ram is compressed. Confirm the fluid is still at the halfway mark.
After that go ahead and try out your new Hydraulic Pump Conversion Kit is ready to rock
